For those who prefer eggs in the morning, it’s not hard to admit that scrambled eggs or the same omelet every morning can start to get tedious after a while. However, that’s the beauty of trying new things with the ingredients you like—you can keep your meal ideas fresh and don’t risk growing tired of things through sheer repetition. So, for egg lovers out there, or even just breakfast lovers in general, this baked Manuka honey bacon benedict recipe is one you must try at least once (though you will likely want to try it more than once).

The simplicity this recipe requires cannot be understated—you merely have to bake various pieces separately before baking them together. The Manuka honey bacon benedict also provides a healthy serving of protein while also providing great flavors via sweetened bacon and hollandaise. So, if you’re ready to spice up your morning routine, let’s get started!

Ingredients for Baked Manuka Honey Bacon Benedict

  • 1 package of 6-8 split English muffins
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 lb. of thicker bacon
  • 12 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of Manuka honey
  • Salt and pepper for flavor

For the Hollandaise:

  • 1 one stick of butter
  • 2 cups of 2 percent milk
  • 2 packages of hollandaise sauce
  • Fresh paprika and chives or parsley for the garnish

Directions for Baked Manuka Honey Bacon Benedict

  1. Preheat your oven on Bake to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. On each muffin half, spread butter and then bake for about 10 minutes on a baking sheet. Set to the side.
  3. Then, spread out the bacon on a pan lined with parchment, drizzling the Manuka honey on the bacon. Bake the bacon for about 20 or 25 minutes, turning over once. Move each bacon slice to a cooling rack for cooling and draining. Cut every bacon piece in half.
  4. Now, prepare your hollandaise sauce as per your packaging directions, keeping it warm until the meal is ready.
  5. Place each muffin half on a baking sheet, evenly dividing the bacon slices over every muffin half. Lightly break open a single egg over each individual muffin half, sprinkling with pepper and salt for flavor. From here, bake the bacon benedict between 12-15 minutes or when the eggs are cooked to the point you prefer.
  6. This dish serves immediately, being topped with your warm hollandaise while garnished with herbs and a bit of paprika. Enjoy your Baked Manuka Honey Bacon Benedict!
  7. Note: Individuals are free to try the traditional method of poaching eggs, but this technique of baking eggs is far easier and may be more desirable for those who have never tried this recipe before.
