Making Manuka Honey Part of Your New Year’s Resolution List
December 27, 2015
What You Should Consider for Your New Year’s Resolution this Year
Eat healthier, exercise more, spend more time with family, save money – these are all common New Year’s Resolutions that we have all probably declared at one time or another in our lives. With 2016 just a few short weeks away, many of us are thinking about how we will make the New Year better for ourselves and the ones around us as well as what resolutions we can commit to, or try to commit to at least, for the next 12 months. Instead of investing in the same, boring resolutions as everyone else, why not commit to some resolutions that are practical and may even be accomplished in the next year?
Read More Often
While reading more is not a very original idea, it is one that many people are not able to accomplish as their New Year’s Resolution. If being more literate in the New Year is up your ally, make a list of 10 to 15 books that you want to tackle in the coming year. Make sure it is a good mix of different genres like fiction, non-fiction, and some classics to keep the list interesting enough to stick to. If you want to take it one step further, develop a reading schedule to help you complete books on time.
Quick the Soda
It is unbelievable how many empty calories come from the things we drink, not to mention all the excess sugar we are likely ingesting as well. Giving up soda is a great place to start when you want to make a resolution to be healthier since soda is very addicting for some people and contains a boat load of sugar. Instead, opt for water or green tea sweetened with Manuka honey – which is a super food all its own – to help kick the soda habit and get one step closer to a healthier you.
Invest in a New Wardrobe
There are a lot of things that could hold us back from buying a new pair of dress pants or a new blazer, even if we really need them. So make a commitment to yourself and your closet in 2016 to invest in a new functional wardrobe, especially if yours is looking rather shabby. Make sure to invest in quality items that are timeless, instead of choosing cheap items that will wear out quickly or trendy items that will be out of style before the year is up – classic, durable pieces are always a worthwhile investment.
